Dane Carey Joins Dingeman & Dancer, PLC
Dane Carey has joined the law firm of Dingeman & Dancer, PLC. He joins the firm’s established corporate and transactional practice, concentrating on the areas of real estate, development, estate planning, and general business matters.
Carey received his Juris Doctor, magna cum laude, from Michigan State University College of Law in May 2015. While in law school, Carey served as an Associate Editor of the Michigan State Law Review, received a full-tuition merit scholarship, and authored an article that was published in an academic law journal and later cited in an amicus curiae brief filed in the U.S. Supreme Court.
While attending law school, Carey also earned his Masters of Business Administration by enrolling in the dual-degree JD/MBA program at Michigan State University. Prior to law school, Carey attended Kalamazoo College, where he played on both the men’s soccer and basketball teams and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics.
Carey is a Northern Michigan native. Before joining the firm, he completed an internship at the Michigan Attorney General’s Office and served as an extern law clerk for the Hon. Michael J. Baumgartner, former Chief Circuit Judge for the 34th Circuit Court of Michigan. Carey also worked as a summer associate for a large, well-regarded law firm in the Detroit area and as a summer law clerk at a small firm in Northern Michigan.
