Dingeman, Dancer & Christopherson obtained a $1.7 million judgment on behalf of a 29-year-old northern Michigan man whose face was shattered and disfigured in a brutal attack earlier this year.”
After the attack, the victim had to be air lifted to a southern Michigan trauma center where a team of surgeons reconstructed his face. His life-threatening injuries required the insertion of 23 titanium screws, five titanium plates, a prosthetic orbital bone, a hardened-nylon device to support his eye, numerous wires to secure the side of the face and multiple other surgical repairs, including plastic surgery. The young man faces a lifetime of severe face and head pain, daily pain medication, physical disfigurement and a brain injury, which makes him unable to work. The attacker who admitted to the beating was imprisoned for the assault.
Attorney Mark Dancer, who specializes in personal injury and wrongful death cases, represented the victim. Dingeman, Dancer & Christopherson PLC is a full service law firm serving individual clients as well as those in the business, government and nonprofit sectors.
